Prerequisits
You need the following prerequisits to run stoned under windows:
Mandatory:
- 32-Bit enabled windows. We have tested under Windows2000, NT,
ME and XP. If you want to try on Windows95, 98, 98SE, ...
please let us know about your experience ...
- OpenGL 3D library (opengl32.dll) or better get yourself a hardware accelerated 3D graphics card
with drivers supporting OpenGL
- fmod sound system (fmod.dll) to play sounds and music (fmod.org, runtime is enough)
- zlib compression library (libz.dll) (gzip.org, runtime is enough)
- OpenGL Utility Toolkit (glut32.dll) (xmission.com, runtime is enough)
- of course the stoned executable (stoned.exe)
For your convenience fmod, zlib and glut are contained in the installer and will be put into the stoned directory,
if you choose so, during installation.

- SDL-net-1.2 library (sdl_net.dll) (only needed for 1.0.x)

- of course the stoned executable (stoned.exe)
Optional:
- timidity patches - unless your soundcard supports MIDI in hardware or you start
stoned with the -M option (no music)
The EAWpatches are very good quality. Just follow the instructions.
